Wir haben von Deutschland aus Herrn Kambas gebucht. Er war mehr als pünktlich am Hafen Athen und hat uns auf Anruf äußerst flexibel wieder zur Anlegestelle gebracht. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und können ihn nur empfehlen. Sollten wir nochmals nach Athen kommen, werden wir Andreas Kambas wieder buchen. Der Preis für Hin- und Rückfahrt Piräus - Akropolis erscheint uns äußerst fair gewesen zu sein. |

Super Service fuer meine Schwester, Schwager und den beiden Kindern. Selbst beim Taxistreik in Athen und Umland hat Andreas eine Loesung gefunden, meine Familie sicher und puenktlich zum Flughafen zu fahren. Vielen Dank Andreas!! Weiter so!!! LG Tanja |

Because of my family’s personal experience, I highly recommend Andreas Kambas to anyone interested in transportation in metropolitan Athens. Andreas was completely conscientious in his communications with me, punctual, professional, thorough and warm.
I had originally pre-booked round trip transportation from Piraeus to Athens with Andreas Kambas, a local taxi driver. We had originally arranged for Andreas to meet us outside the terminal building, drive us to the vicinity of the Acropolis and drop us off, meet us after we toured the Acropolis, drop off at the Plaka for lunch and shopping, then drive us back to the cruise terminal. Most taxi’s can only carry four passengers, so Andreas’ wife, Pavlina had originally planned to drive her private car to handle the additional passenger. Pavlina had also planned to stay with us during our visit to the Plaka for lunch and shopping, acting as an ad hoc guide. Andreas offered these services for one package price, which was less than the round trip fare for two taxi, which we felt was a great value.
Due to a labor strike, our ship rescheduled its stop in Piraeus.
When we learned about the rescheduling, I communicated with Andreas via email from the ship. Andreas graciously altered his plans to accommodate the change in day and change in times. We met Andreas and Pavlina according to the revised schedule, and found that Andreas had arranged for a second taxi, to be driven by his friend, Takis. Because of the long excursion in Izir the previous day, and the shortened ship’s stay in Piraeus, we decided to change plans. We elected to just stroll the Plaka, shop, and have a light lunch. We visited the Athens flea market and had lunch there. Pavlina stayed with us the entire time, answering questions, pointing out interesting facets of life in Athens, guiding us through the narrow streets, interpreting as needed, and keeping a watchful eye on everyone. We finished lunch about 11:30 am, and Andreas and Takis immediately picked us up to return to the ship. My mother-in-law rode with Andreas, and apparently peppered him for constant reassurance that we would return in time to board the ship by the 12:30 pm cutoff. Andreas good-naturedly handled her concerns, guaranteeing that time would not be a problem. My son and I rode with Takis, and the two of them chatted about soccer and a little about Takis’ background. Takis summarized the Greek people for my son. “If you are nice to us, we will be ten times nicer to you. If you are mean to us, we will be twenty times as mean to you. You are all right, so I am talking with you. If you were not all right, I would be quiet and tell you nothing.”
Of course, we arrived at the cruise terminal with at least ten minutes of margin. We bid farewell to Andreas, Pavlina and Takis, and thanked them profusely for a wonderful morning in Athens. Later, I received an email from Andreas. My wife and mother-in-law had left their hats in his taxi, and he was mailing them to me. I just received the package.

Herzlichst und mit bestem Wissen und Gewissen empfehle ich Herrn Andreas Kampas, einen besonderen Taxifahrer aus Athen, allen Reisenden aus Deutschland und anderen Ländern, die die Schönheiten Attikas individuell entdecken bzw. das Entdeckte genissen möchten. Ich habe mit Herrn Kampas wunderbare Touren von Anavissos nach Athen und durch Pireas sowie nach Sounion und Delphi gemacht. Mit einem Mietwagen wäre es nicht möglich, all die schönen Ecken und Aussichten zu sehen, die Herr Kampas als Kenner mir gezeigt hat. Die einfache Taxifahrten entwickelten sich zu wunderbaren Ausflügen mit einem interessaten Gesprächspartner, der zudem ein perfektes und sehr gepflegtes Deutsch spricht. Als Taxifahrer ist Herr Kampas absolut zuverlässig und pünktlich. Er hat einen guten, angenehmen Fahrstil. Sein Fahrzeug ist vorzüglich gepflegt und mit Ledersitzen sowie einer gut eingestellten Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Nicht unwichtig sind seine sehr moderate und faire Preise.
Bei meiner nächsten Attikareise werde ich den besonderen Taxifahrer aus Athen unbedingt wider buchen.

Im Juni 2010 sind wir für ein paar Tage nach Athen gereist.
Am zweiten Tag in Athen besuchten wir morgens die Akropolis und fragten einen Taxifahrer, ob es eine Möglichkeit gibt, individuell nach Delphi zum Orakel zu gelangen.
Andreas, der Taxifahrer, bot an, uns nach Delphi zu bringen.
Wir trafen uns gegen 11:00 Uhr an der Akropolis und fuhren gemeinsam nach Delphi.
Unterwegs erzählte uns Andreas von Griechenland, Athen, Delphi usw.
Auf dem Weg zurück nach Athen fragten wir, wie wir kurzfristig auf die Insel Santorini kommen.
Andreas sorgte für Schiffspassage und reservierte für uns ein sehr nettes kleines Hotel zu günstigem Preis.
Am nächsten Morgen holte er uns pünktlich 06:15 Uhr vom Hotel ab und brachte uns zur Fähre nach Pireus.
Am Abend des nächsten Tages holte er uns vom Schiff ab und fuhr uns zurück zum Hotel.
Wir wünschen Andreas für die Zukunft in Griechenland alle Gute.
Er ist ein sehr verlässlicher und angenehmer Mensch. Vielen Dank.
Sobald wir wieder nach Santorini reisen wollen, werden wir vorher Andreas kontaktieren.

We heartily second the comments by Carol and Hal. We arranged a pickup in Piraeus to the Acropolis and an afternoon return from the Archeological Museum to Piraeus as well as 2 airport transfers. Everything went smoothly. Making arrangements with Andreas was easy by email. It was great knowing that we had dependable transport lined up at every stage at reasonable prices. We did take a local cab from Syntagma Square to the Archeological Museum when we were too tired to walk and it was night and day experience. Although that cab got us where we wanted to go, no air conditioning and lots of cigarette smoke made the ride less than pleasant. It was very relaxing traveling with Andreas. Thank you Andreas. |

Thank you Andreas for being so professional and prompt to meet us at the cruise port and take us to the Acropolis. Your offer to meet us at the end of the day was a blessing. We were so tired after walking and really appreciated your being at our pickup point early. We were also surprised and pleased to receive the great map of Athens as well. We highly recommend your services to anyone needing a tour or transportation when arriving in Pireaus or Athens. |

We used Andreas for a transfer: Piraeus to Athens and a pickup in Athens 4 hours later to return to Piraeus.
Andreas was punctual, conscientious, helpful and fluent in English. His taxi smoke-free and clean. He was quite willing to discuss current events in Athens/Greece and provide insight into its culture.
We would highly recommend him for your touring needs in the Athens area.
